Quick Dinner Biscuits

I’ve been making these biscuits for about 2 years and as I was mixing them up today realized that I hadn’t posted this recipe yet.  It’s a family favorite that’s been modified over time… but it’s pretty standard as is now.  These are super easy to make, and they’re really good with a full dinner or (my favorite) as a side for soup or salad.  That being said, if you’re looking for a bland biscuit these aren’t for you.  Enjoy!

  • 2 c. Bisquick (Aldi’s version works just as well)
  • 2/3 c. milk
  • 1 heaping T. italian seasoning
  • 1/2-1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 fist-full cheddar cheese

Butter melt:

  • 2-3 T. butter
  • 2 tsp. italian seasoning
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • cheddar cheese for garnish (opt.)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients and scoop onto cookie sheets.  (Once again, I use my trusty ice cream scoop for this.)  Flatten slightly with your palm.  Melt butter and spices (not cheese) and brush over biscuits.  Sprinkle with additional cheddar cheese if desired.

Bake for 12 minutes or until lightly browned.  Serve warm.

TIP: Only bake as many rolls as you need and refrigerate the rest of the dough for up to 3 days.
